Concrete Patching & Spall Repair

Spalling happens when the surface of concrete breaks away, often from freeze-thaw, rust in the steel below or impact. Pits, popouts and chipped edges leave a floor rough and make coatings fail at the damage.

We cut damaged areas back to sound concrete and rebuild them with polymer-modified repair mortars and epoxy patching compounds across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Repairs are shaped to blend with the slab so the finished coating looks smooth.

FAQ

Common questions about patching & spall repair

Can spalled concrete be repaired?

Usually yes, if the base slab is sound. We cut back to solid concrete and rebuild.

Will the patch match the slab?

Patches are ground flush and covered by the coating, so they are not visible afterward.

What causes spalling?

Water, freeze-thaw cycles, de-icing salts and rusting steel are common causes.
