Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coating

Polyaspartic is a close cousin of polyurea, and it behaves differently from epoxy: it cures quickly, stays clear in sunlight and flexes a little with the slab. That makes it a smart choice for garages with bright doors, heavy daily traffic or a tight schedule.

Crews at 615 Coating use polyaspartic as a full system or as a topcoat over epoxy and flake. Because it cures fast, many garages in Nashville and nearby towns can be coated in a single working window, and the floor is ready for light use soon after.

FAQ

Common questions about polyaspartic floors

Is polyaspartic better than epoxy?

They do different jobs. Polyaspartic cures faster and resists sun and scuffs. Epoxy builds thickness and fills well. Many floors use both.

Does polyaspartic yellow?

Aliphatic polyaspartic is formulated to stay clear in sunlight, which is its main advantage over many epoxy topcoats.

Can it go over an old epoxy floor?

Sometimes. The old coating must be sound and sanded or ground so the new layer bonds. We check that first.
