Prep, Repair & Add-Ons
Calcium chloride, relative humidity and meter tests show how much vapor your slab passes, and a vapor-tolerant primer controls it.

Concrete can pass moisture vapor from the ground, even when the surface looks dry. A coating that seals that vapor in can blister or peel. Testing tells you how much moisture is moving through the slab, which is the key to choosing the right system.
We test slabs for homes and businesses in Nashville and across Middle Tennessee, using calcium chloride kits, in-slab relative humidity probes and surface meters as the job calls for. If readings are high, we use moisture-tolerant primers or recommend steps to fix drainage and moisture sources.

FAQ
Slabs on grade, basements and outbuildings benefit most. Testing is a small step compared with redoing a failed floor.
We can use a moisture-tolerant primer within its limits, or recommend fixing the source before coating.
Some tests need a day or more to read, so we plan it ahead of the coating.
